Gung Hay Fat Choy. It's the Year of the Ox

Eena and I celebrated Chinese New Year with a special "Mommy & Eena" lunch at the mall. We shared her favorite meal: a slice of pizza and a cup of gelato. I also bought her a pair of blue tights, which she's been requesting for some time now. She held the blue tights throughout the mall.

Later, at home, we celebrated some of the CNY traditions with Baba: hanging cut red paper, cutting our hair, sweeping out the bad luck of last year and welcoming the new year, put out oranges for wealth, and we built an alter to honor our ancestors (my mother).

Tomorrow, I'll give red envelopes with money to the girls.

Hopefully, the Year of the Ox will be a successful one!
