We're adventuring...Eena, Baba and Apa

We weren't stuck behind closed doors all day yesterday. Eena and Baba started their day at a playground at the Champ de Mars with their Daddy. I had to sleep because Eena decided to wake up at 3 a.m. We had eggs (ouefs) and cold salad at a nearby restaurant for lunch. Then, we walked (my poor dad) for about an hour or two (or "forever," says my dad) in what was supposed to be a "20-minute" walk to the Jardin du Luxomberg. We had hoped to have the girls wade in a little pool, but the sand made the water so murky that we decided against it. We enjoyed looking at the beautiful flowers and for the opportunity to rest at one of the many benches. Next, we hopped the Metro to Notre Dame Cathedral and lit a candle for my mom. D and I visited the church the last time we were in Paris, and we went through quickly this time. The girls weren't too excited by Notre Dame as you can tell by their picture. Friday night mass was in session as tourists snapped photos of flying buttresses and intricately carved statues in side this Gothic church. We had dinner (pizza and salad) near Notre Dame and the Hotel de Ville (City Hall). The girls' favorite part of the day? When Mommy bought them Paris T-shirts. I guess they love touristy things too. Today, we are hoping to visit a zoo and take a boat ride on the Seine.
