Eena has preschool orientation in one week, and she officially starts next Wednesday. Yesterday, we were watching "Sesame Street" and a segment called "Preschool Musical" came on. Eena told me she doesn't like preschool and doesn't want to go because Mommy won't be there. I told her she'll have fun and make friends. She's not convinced.
Today, we are meeting one of the other 3-year-old girls in her class for a playdate. Afterward, I'm going to drive her by her school again. After we attend orientation next week, I'm planning on taking her for a big-girl lunch to celebrate her preschool status.
I'm not looking forward to the transition because I know she'll cry. However, I know she'll love preschool once she gives it a chance.
